Instructor Bio:
Sandra Honour (Shooting Federation of Canada Certified Coach)
Sandra has been an ATA trap shooter (Saskatchewan) since 1984 being introduced to the sport by her father Jack when she retired from the National Swimming Team.
She has been on the National Shooting Team and High Performance ISSF Trap and Double Trap team member since her debut in the ISSF sport in 1993; retiring in 2014.
She has had numerous top three in Canada finishes since 1993 and placed third at the 1999 Pan American Games in Women's Double Trap.Her career highlight came in 2005 when she won the gold medal at the 2005 Championship of the Americas; this performance qualified a Canadian competitor to attend the 2008 Olympic Games in women's trapshooting.
She is still an active recreational competitor but spends most of her spare time on the Shooting Federation of Canada executive as the President .
Sandra is a trained Master Coach Developer and evaluator for the Shooting Federation of Canada and is a national level official for ISSF trap and skeet.
Her focus as a coach is on the fundamentals - Safety first, gun fit, gun mount, eye hold
Sandra is available for lessons for individuals and groups of up to 3 people.
Cost for one time 2 hour session. Insurance day fee, targets, ammo and gun not included but can be arranged.
Individuals - $60
Two people -$100
Three people - $120
Repeat sessions at a reduced rate.
Sandra also runs the Alberta Junior Olympic Bunker training program for youth 21 or younger in conjunction with the Alberta International Shooters Association. Please contact her if you are interested in pursuing the Olympic sport.
